LoMonaco Law’s History

Pete LoMonaco has been a practicing attorney in Lake County for over 40 years. Growing up in Waukegan, he graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1970. Pete then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in 1974 and his law degree from IIT-Chicago/ Kent in Chicago in 1977. After graduation, Pete worked at the Lake County State’s attorney office for a few years before transitioning into private practice. He worked with various lawyers in Waukegan before opening his own firm in 1981. Eventually, Pete moved the firm to Libertyville in 1994.

Lauren LoMonaco is Pete’s youngest of two daughters. Lauren graduated from Lake Forest High School in 2005 and then proceeded to get her business degree in 2009 from the University of Illinois Champaign and then her law degree from the University of Illinois Champaign in 2012. After graduating law school, she joined her father in practicing law in 2012. Pete and Lauren continued their partnership until Pete’s semi-retirement in 2018. While Pete can still occasionally be seen in the office, he prefers to spend his days on a golf course or with his grandchildren.

Toys for Tots

LoMonaco Law is a proud contributor and sponsor of TOYS FOR TOTS! We have been collecting toys for local kids through donations at our office. We received so many donations in 2022 that we almost needed a second box! Thank you to all those who contributed.

Illinois State Bar Association

LoMonaco Law is a proud member of the Illinois State Bar Association. We look to the ISBRA for ways to stay educated on changing laws and trends in the legal community.

Lake County Secret Santa

We had a little too much fun shopping for local families in need. Thank you to LAKE COUNTY SECRET SANTA for connecting us with amazing families year and after year.

The Grayslake Professionals Network allows us to develop business and friendship connections nearby. It also allows us to take part in hosting community events and fundraisers.

LoMonaco Law participates in a March Madness bracket with past clients, referral partners, and of course our entire LoMonaco Law Team– it is a fun way to bring the office together!

Real Estate Institute

Lauren LoMonaco has been a frequent guest speaker for hundreds of real estate agents completing their continuing education through the Real Estate institute. Lauren has taught several hours of classes over the years including discussions on fair housing initiatives, incorporations, and agency agreements.

Vernon Hills Days was such a blast! We were able to meet face to face with our clients and agents in the area and support our local community.

Small Business Giveaways

Being a local family run law firm, LoMonaco Law knows how supporting local businesses can impact our community in positive ways. Each year, we ask our clients and followers to nominate their favorite small local business so that we may patronize that business by purchasing gift cards for our annual holiday giveaway. We then hold a raffle among those who participated in the nominations and give the gift cards to the winners. The winners then get to experience a new small business which keeps our local economy thriving! In total, LoMonaco Law has donated over $1,000 to local small businesses.
