Peter LoMonaco

Attorney at Law (Retired)

Pete’s practice has focused on providing an alternative, business view of outside general counsel services for over 30 years. His approach is to bring value to a client and find ways to manage and control the legal costs that so often impede a business’s objectives and growth.

While many large firms need to, and therefore seek to, maximize their revenue and view clients in that context, Pete believes in a different approach. He believes that providing a path to control costs and maximize a client’s benefit is not only good for clients, but just as beneficial to a lawyer who believes that long term relationships are built from mutual benefit and respect. Pete believes in that model and has used it for his entire career.

Because he began his career as a litigator and selectively continues in that role as clients may request, he understands the impact and costs associated with board room and management decisions. He has the ability to supervise litigation but seeks to prevent, not encourage disputes. As a result, Pete has built a network of contacts in many areas of expertise that have benefited from this alternative view toward legal practice and stand ready to assist when additional resources are needed.
Clients served represent a variety of industries and have included manufacturers, technology startups, and  construction companies.

Education
Chicago Kent College of Law – J.D.
University of Southern Illinois- Carbondale – B.S.
