Appeal My Property Tax
To get started, complete the “Appeal My Property Taxes” form at the bottom of this page. You will be asked to fill out a little information regarding yourself and the property you wish to appeal. Once completed and submitted, one of our representatives will review it and email you our fee agreement and next steps within 2 business days.
How much does it cost to appeal your taxes?
We charge a $100 review fee. For this review, LoMonaco Law will complete the following:
- We will pull your tax records, current and historical, and run a review of your increases year over year and confirm whether they align with your area.
- We will review sales history of your home to see if the tax assessment increases are supported by recent sale of your home.
- We will run and review comps in the area – comps are comparable homes similar to yours in size and quality that have sold within the last year – and see how they align with the assessor’s value of your home.
- We will create an internal report and provide you with an outline of our findings and suggestions based on those findings.
If after reviewing the comparable properties, appeal history, and exemptions, we believe we can help you decrease your tax liability, we will proceed with the appeal process. If successful, LoMonaco laws fees are 34% of your total tax savings for that year. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you do not owe LoMonaco Law any fees beyond the initial $100 review charge. Our fee agreement will detail more regarding how we get paid and our collection of those fees as well.
